Designing Retirement

On a recent TED Talk, Tim Brown urges designers to think big. Specifically to invite participation in the design of human processes. My thought is that Retirement needs to be re-designed. What we currently have isn’t working; retirement homes are filled with lonely old people who die quickly. In the next 10 years about 250 million Baby Boomers are going to retire. Surely we can come up with something a little more creative, intersting and fulfilling than what we’ve currently got.
